Wāhanga 1: Digital Connections and Communication
Wāhanga 2: Digital Tools and Productivity
Wāhanga 3: Digital Problem Solving
Wāhanga 4: Digital Life

Learning outcomes

  • Use online connection and communication tools such as Email, Drive, Documents and Calendar to connect with peers, whānau, friends, and services
  • Use an online Drive effectively to organise and share files and folders for both in and out of the course.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts for improved effectiveness and productivity, particularly in apps such as Slides and Photos.
  • Evaluate the safety, security, and trustworthiness of online sites and information sources and interact online following digital tikanga.
  • Use digital skills, tools, and help features to effectively find information, and solve day-to-day problems.
  • Compare human and digital factors related to online security.
  • Compare and contrast online and offline tasks and apply digital skills to carry out common online ‘life’ tasks.

Digital Whare Project

You will have the option to do project work on your own following the instructions in the digital whare sections. Each wāhanga has instructions on what to do for your project, and looks to solidify the learning you’ve completed in each wāhanga, whilst learning to create your own site.
